Hints and tips to find great part-time jobs

In the current economic situation any job, including part-time jobs (Nebenbeschäftigung) are really hard to come by. If you are on the hunt for a job at the moment, it is essential that you put yourself in the very best position when it comes to both searching and being interviewed.
So first thing is first, in the current job climate, there is no point in aiming above your qualifications, there is a more than ample amount of people, all of whom are applying for the same job, and many of them who are over qualified for the position. So if you are looking for a job remember tips such as:

Search for a job that you are qualified to do, and if possible one that you have experience in doing. An employer is more likely to take your CV serious if you have ample amounts of experience in a particular field.
Sort your CV out. It is important that if you have had lots of temporary jobs over the past year, that you make this clear in your CV, otherwise any potential employer will believe that you have been chopping and changing jobs and that you are not really that reliable when it comes to holding down a job.
Make sure that details such as your age are not apparent on the CV, this is not a requirement, and a potential job seeker should not be judged on how old they are, it should simply go on whether or not they can do the job.
Don’t lie on your CV, always be honest, yes make the CV sound good, this way you have more chance of getting an interview, but by lying you could ultimately face disappointment in the long run.

Once you have an intereview it is imperative that you turn up for it well presented, if necessary take any certificates you may have to each interview. Always check out the company you are intending on working before hand this way you can wow them with your knowledge.
